The Tooth Fairy

When cold frost glistened,
And the stars shone bright,
I, the tooth fairy,
Had a special job one night.

I dusted off my shiny wings,
Slipped on my sparkly shoes.
I gathered up my fairy dust,
And knew just what to do.

A brave and tiny girl,
Had teeth for me that day,
I glided through the cold dark sky,
Using stars to guide the way.

I sprinkled her with fairy dust,
To keep her safe from harm,
As one by one those little teeth,
Fell into my palm.

They are not under your pillow,
They are in my special home.
Magic brought them safe and sound
To the other teeth I own!

And your new teeth will glisten,
Like the stars in the sky,
Like the frost all over the earth,
On the night I flew by!

(translated into English from fairy language for a very special little girl who lost several teeth at once in hospital and couldn’t take them home to give to the tooth fairy herself  xxx)
